Technology 1. Investigation and Diagnostic Techniques Modjaw 4D Digital technology certainly represents the present and future of dentistry. The missing link has been the inability to integrate patient functions (chewing, speaking, swallowing) into design software for prosthetic rehabilitations. Digital Technology in Dental Aesthetics Digital Smile Design – Smile Cloud A dental software platform that includes a library of natural teeth, enabling digital simulations of the shape and color of future teeth in dental work. In other words, based on a set of patient photographs, different smiles can be tried on, with various dental shapes and shades. The 3Shape Trios Intraoral Scanner 3D Optical Scanner is a device used to capture images of teeth, gums, and other structures and details within the oral cavity. It ensures the transfer of intraoral details into digital form for the planning and execution of dental procedures. The intraoral scanner replaces traditional impressions, which are often uncomfortable for the patient, with a digital alternative that is much more comfortable and completed in a much shorter time. The dental technology laboratory The dental laboratory is equipped with CAD/CAM manufacturing systems for dental prosthetic works. Based on digital information—such as intraoral scans, photos, and digital recordings of intermaxillary relationships (Modjaw)—transmitted to the laboratory by the dentist, the technician designs the dental works using dedicated software platforms. The digital dental works are then transmitted to 3D milling machines that transform them into finished pieces. CAD/CAM milled dental works exhibit micron-level precision and are manufactured in significantly shorter timeframes. 3. Digital Technologies in Dental Therapy Airflow Prophylaxis Master EMS The new standard in dental prophylaxis and non-surgical periodontal therapy has been designed according to the highest standards of performance, safety, and comfort, specifically to allow for the application of Guided Biofilm Therapy . The Airflow Max technology enables the removal of bacterial plaque, incipient tartar, and stains from teeth, as well as direct and indirect restorations, dental implants, and orthodontic appliances, from supra and subgingival areas. These are achieved using a laminar flow of water, air, and erythritol-based powder particles in an efficient and minimally invasive manner. Dedicated Perioflow tips are recommended during prophylaxis treatments and non-surgical periodontal therapy for effective removal of bacterial plaque from periodontal pockets. Dental laser DR Smile The use of dental lasers in current practice has seen accelerated development in recent decades. These tools assist dentists by enhancing treatments, providing precision during procedures. The Doctor Smile dental laser is a diode laser with a wavelength of 980 nm, primarily used in soft tissue surgery. The major advantages of this technology include reduced operating time, ensuring absence of bleeding at the end of treatment, decreased healing time, as well as reduced postoperative sensitivity. The Doctor Smile diode laser can also be used during non-surgical periodontal therapy for decontaminating periodontal pockets and reducing inflammation. Digital Technologies in Root Canal Therapy Leica Microscope The dental microscope is a high-precision optical instrument that allows clear, bright, and magnified visualization of the working field, up to 25X. Thus, the dentist can observe obstacles, fissures, and many other fine details that contribute to therapeutic success, which the human eye would not be able to perceive. Currently, the dental microscope is increasingly used in endodontic therapy, as well as in other dental specialties such as dentistry, periodontology, prosthodontics, and implantology. In modern endodontics, the dental microscope is indispensable for achieving optimal results. The magnification factor, combined with coaxial illumination, allows the endodontist to easily address even the most challenging cases. Better visibility of the operative field helps in establishing the diagnosis, locating calcifications, root canals, identifying false canals, ledges, and fracture lines, etc. Performed under the microscope, endodontic treatment is more precise, takes less time, and is less traumatic to dental structures. Additionally, removing broken instrument fragments, cemented or prefabricated metal posts that obstruct the root canals, is done more easily. Among the indications for using a dental microscope, we mention: Identifying the entrances to the root canals Identifying additional canals Identifying and treating calcified canals Identifying root perforations and sealing them Retreating root canal treatments in teeth with painful symptoms Visualizing and removing obstacles from the root canal Detecting root fractures or cracks. 4. Digital Technologies in Oral Surgery Centrifuge For promoting favorable local healing in oral surgery, Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) treatment, rich in platelets, has been used for over two decades. It can be used in various forms - liquid or solid - to expedite tissue revascularization based on plasma cells and growth factors. Practically, it accelerates healing and provides superior quality to new tissues. How do we obtain PRF? Peripheral venous blood is collected (the same procedure as for blood tests), and then it is centrifuged at a specific speed and for a specific time, depending on the desired outcome. The digital surgical guide Every dental implant has a specific three-dimensional position, intended to perfectly restore the position of the lost tooth, ensure proper resistance of the entire system, and achieve the best long-term results. Digital planning of the implant position and the creation of a surgical guide provide us with the confidence of implanting in the ideal position. When needed, these guides are designed and 3D printed "in-house," in the shortest time and with the highest precision, using specialized software. The ISQ Device A few years ago, after the insertion of a dental implant, the treatment protocol required a waiting period of 6 months for the osseointegration of the implant, followed by its exposure from under the gum and the prosthetic work. Now, by accurately measuring the primary stability of the implant (its retention immediately after insertion) using the Ostell® device, we can make decisions tailored to each case, performing immediate, early, or delayed implant prosthetics, depending on their stability after insertion. This method is non-invasive (magnetic resonance), accurate, and replaces approximate measurements of implant stability by assessing torque at insertion. Thus, through a non-approximate method, we can decide the appropriate time for implant prosthetics. Concern for the Environment In line with the changes and challenges of the times we live in, we strive to reduce the negative impact on the environment by: Using digital patient records to avoid paper consumption; Utilizing digital X-rays, without printing them on film, to avoid the processing of chemical products; Digital interpretation of X-rays and photographs using digital software (Nemo, Dolphin) instead of traditional paper-based methods; Employing optical/digital impressions to reduce medical waste from traditional impression materials; Implementing professional and ambient LED lighting as well as equipping with state-of-the-art professional equipment, substantially reducing electricity consumption. 6. Cleaning Standards Instrument Washer - Melatherm: This is a thermodesinfector that complies with the European Standard EN 15883. It is ideal for processing and disinfecting reusable instruments. Automatic cleaning and disinfection of instruments using a washing-disinfecting device is the safest procedure regarding patient and staff protection. The MELAstore loading system with trays and boxes allows for an optimal workflow from instrument decontamination to storage. Autoclave: Vacuclav 550 Sterilization is the process of destroying and removing microorganisms, rendering the instruments sterile. This is achieved through moist heat/steam. Here's what this journey looks like in our clinic: First Call Our desire is to have patients with whom we resonate, to be on the same wavelength, so that we have effective and beneficial communication for both parties. As a result, we created some filters, a sort of triage of patients starting with the first phone call. If you have chosen us, for a few minutes, you will have to answer some questions from our colleagues at the reception. First Visit They say that the first impression matters the most! Studies show that the first 90 seconds are crucial and have the biggest impact. This principle also applies in a dental office. In this sense, we set up the reception in a bright, welcoming space, where you can admire unique art objects, turning waiting into aesthetic delight. Signing Documents The first 15 minutes are spent with our colleagues at the reception to sign the documents necessary for your registration as a patient of the Rotar Clinic. This involves taking initial photos and videos, a scan of the teeth, taking X-rays indicated by the doctor during the initial evaluation.
